Spiegelbilder / Mirror Images

Hier in Tantchens Garten ist der Frühling viel weiter fortgeschritten als rund um RoRoPo. Neugierig erforscht Gregor die Gegend.

 

Here in aunties garden, spring is better advanced than round RoRoPo. Curious Gregor explores the backyard.

 

Da sind Traubenhyazinthen und Gregor hat eine atemberaubende Ausicht auf blühende Narzissen.

 

There are muscaris and Gregor has a gorgeous view at blossoming daffodils.

 

Und da, neben besonders schönen Narzissen, ist jemand. Er kommt Gregor irgendwie bekannt vor.

 

And there, near some extraordinary beautiful daffodils, is someone. Someone somehow familiar.

Dieses Gesicht sieht genau so aus wie das, welches Gregor immer im Spiegel sieht, bis auf die blauen Augen.

 

This one looks like the face Gregor sees when looking in a mirror - lookalike but the blue eyes.  

 

"Wer bist denn du? Wohnst du hier? Ich bin auf Besuch!"

 

"Who are you? Do you live here? I'm just a visitor!"

"Ich bin Cedric," sagt Cedric.

"Ich bin Gregor," sagt Gregor und erwartet halbwegs das allgegenwärtige Lachen. Doch weder lacht Cedric noch erwähnt Gregor den kleinen Lord Fauntleroy.

 

"I am Cedric," says Cedric. 

"I am Gregor," says Gregor, half awaiting the omnipresent laughter. But Cedric does not laugh nor does Gregor mention little Lord Fauntleroy.

"Wir haben viel gemeinsam!" stellen sie fest.

"Wie schade daß wir keine Zwillinge sind," stimmen sie überein.

Aber was könnte besser sein als gleichzeitig Cousins und Freunde?

 

"We have so much in common!" they say.

"What a shame we are not twins!" they agree.

But what could be better than being cousins and friends?
 

Und da ist es, das befreiende gemeinsame Lachen. Kichernd im Gras liegen und gemeinsame Abenteuer planen - was für ein herrlicher Tag!

 

And there it is, the freeing consolidated laughter. Giggling in the grass and planning adventures together. What a wonderful day!!!
