Die richtige Farbe / The Right Colour

Ruben ist auf der Suche. Er weiß nicht genau, wonach, es ist mehr so ein komisches Gefühl, daß etwas fehlt.

 

Ruben is on the scout. He does not know for what, it is a somehow indifferent feeling of a lack.

 

Hier diese Osterglocken sind schön und haben ein tolles Gelb. Aber das reicht nicht.

 

Here these daffodils are beautiful and have a rich yellow. But this is not enough.

Hier haben wir jede Menge Blau. Aber irgendetwas fehlt.

 

Here we have plenty of blue. But something is missing.

Hier finden wir blau und gelb und rosa. Aber das ist zuviel des Guten.

 

Here we find blue and yellow and pink. But this gilds the lily.

Was ist denn das? So eine Art Nessie. Ob die beißt? Aber...

 

What's that? Some kind of Nessie. Will she bite? But...

Das ist es! Das paßt perfekt!

Wahlheimat / Country Of Adoption

Ja was ist denn das? Diese Aussicht ist Rick wohlvertraut. Er macht eine Stippvisite im Zwergenhaus, seiner alten Heimat, dem Haus von inzwischen-Tantchen.

 

What's that? This view is familiar to Rick. He's dropped in the Gnome Home, his old home, now-Auntie's place. 

 

Sie hat ihre kleinen Puppenstuben von Baden-Württemberg in's Zwergenhaus gebracht. Das paßt hier gut hin und sieht hübsch aus!

 

She had moved her little doll's houses from Baden-Wurttemberg to the Gnome Home. This looks very nice and fits in well!

Der Klosterladen. Den fand Rick immer besonders gelungen. Er würde ja zu gerne den guten Klostergeist mal testen!

The convent shop. Rick always liked it most. He'd like to try the herb liqueur!

Rick schwelgt in Erinnerungen. Doch dann...
