What a glorious trip through the snow they are having ! But yes too much snow can over stay it's welcome, maybe enough for this year.

We did years ago but the castle was a ruin but still nice to go and visit.
The town is called Waldeck and so the castle also is called "Schloß Waldeck". It is a very old fortress, so in German normally you would call it "Burg", but for some reason it is named a Schloß, in English more "Palace". Since there are more than one Waldeck in Germany, ours is "Waldeck am Edersee".
