Falscher Alarm? / Leopardy

 

 

Ruben ist unterwegs mit Goethe. Die Sonne scheint, alles ist friedlich, aber Goethe gibt Laut. "Leopard! Leopard!"

Ruben is on tour with Goethe. The sun ist shining, all is peaceful, but Goethe gives mouth.

"Leopard! Leopard!" 

 

Ah, ein kleiner Fuchs rennt vorbei! Ja, die Natur hält viele nette Überraschungen bereit. Und, zum Glück, keine Leoparden.

 

O, a little fox is running by! Yes, nature is full of nice little miracles. And, luckily, no leopards.
 

"Es ist gut zu wissen daß der Kellerwaldleopard eine heimatsuchende große Katze ist und nun bei den Cousins lebt. Ich würde ungern hier einen treffen!"

 

"It is good to know that the Kellerwald leopard is a home-searching big cat and now lives with the cousins. I would not like to meet one here!"

Wieder hat Goethe etwas bemerkt. "Leopard!!"

Er spurtet los.

 

Again Goethe has sensed something. "Leopard!!"

He spurts ahead.

 

Nur ein Frosch. Aber ein ganz schön großer!

 

Only a frog. But my, a big one!

 

Erneut, zum dritten Mal jetzt, bellt Goethe: "Leopard! Leopard!"

Aber Ruben sagt: "Nein, nein. Du hast jetzt zweimal falschen Leopardenalarm gegeben, eins war ein Fuchs, eins war ein Frosch. Was ist es jetzt? Eine Schnecke? Hör auf, hier gibt es keine Leoparden!"

 

Again, for the third time now, Goethe barks: "Leopard! Leopard!"

But Ruben says: "No, no. You've given leopard alarm twice. One for a fox, one for a frog. What's now? A slug? Come on, here are no leopards!" 

Wirklich?
