Seh ich doppelt? / Do I see double?

Another day, another tour: Caleb in his new lilac sweater is in the woods again with Mephisto.

Suddenly Mephisto shoots ahead. But why? Has he smelled wild boars or other game?

Uiii!

Heyyy! Another poodle - looks like Mephisto, could be his twin!

Begrüßung auf Hundeart...

Big meet and greet...

Spielzeit! Die beiden verstehen sich prächtig.

Playtime!!! They get along swimmingly.

Wir wollen beisammen bleiben. Kriegst du das hin, Herrchen?

We want to stay together. Can you help us, little master?

Der Streuner trägt kein Halsband. Aber er sieht gepflegt aus. Und... sie... gucken... so... lieb...

The stray wears no collar. But he looks well-cared. And... they... beg... so... nice...

Bist du denn erzogen? Wirst du gehorchen?
"Sitz!"
Beide sitzen.

Are you trained? Will you obey?
"Sit!"
Both do.

Dann kommt beide mit. Mami kriegt das schon hin.

Then follow. Mummy will sort this out.

Erstaunlich!

Actually, there is indeed a crocodile trap. Amazing!

So now we have only to take care of those snakes.

Mummy has said here are no snakes. But I have heard of the Kreuzotter and maybe here in this jungle... let's go for a higher place and have a look around.

Keine Löwen, keine Schlangen. Aber ich sehe etwas sehr Interessantes. Fast schon ein Schatz!

No lions, no snakes. But I can see something very interesting... almost a treasure!

Schau! Schneeglöckchen! Frühlingsboten!

Look! Snowdrops! A hint of spring...

Und hier! Krokusse! Mephisto... du guckst so komisch... du wirst doch nicht...

And here! Crocuses! Mephisto... this look on your face... don't you dare...

Mephisto! Böser Junge! Das hatte ich nicht gemeint mit Frühlingsduft...

Mephisto! Bad boy! This was not what I meant with "spring scent"...

Was man mit Pudeln erleben kann: Teil II / Poodle Adventures Part II

Das sieht ja interessant aus. Fast wie am Amazonas!

This looks interesting. Almost the Amazonas delta.

But maybe... we should take care, there might be crocodiles!

Let's have a look... is there something to climb on?

Das könnte gehen.

This could do.

Schwer zu erkletternder Baumstumpf... Du kannst das nicht? Bist du sicher?

Very hardto climb on that trunk... You can't? Are you sure?

Geschafft! SCHLANGEN??? Maaaami!!!

Done! But poor Mephisto... what are you barking? The crocodiles are not the problem because there is a crocodile trap down the lake? And snakes can climb? SNAKES??? Mummy!!!

Was man mit Pudeln erleben kann: Teil I / Poodle Adventures Part I

Heute morgen hat es GESCHNEIT! Aber das wollen wir nicht zeigen. Wir wollen lieber gucken, was Caleb ein paar Stunden später macht.

Today morning it has SNOWED! But we don't like to show you that. Instead, let us see what Caleb does some hours later.

Caleb und Mephisto sind draußen auf Abenteuersuche.

Caleb and Mephisto are out, seeking adventures.

Let's look over there, maybe we find a lion here? Or some weird bugs?

Over there seems to be a tunnel or a cave.

Wir gucken mal rein.

Let's have a look.

Kein Löwe drin. Nicht mal ein Käfer. Aber sehr dunkel und schummrig.

No lion inside. Not even a bug. But very very dark and gloomy...

Gehen wir weiter...

Come on let's go!

April, April / April Jokes

Caleb and Beverly are coming home from a ride. Oh, there are visitors!

Marty and Cody, the twins, are here. But why are they looking so curious at our easter decoration? And what are they doing with Schokokeks, our brown lamb? Luke, our Border Collie, must put an eye on them!

Hey Marty, Cody! Was geht ab?

Hey Marty, Cody! What's up?
Oh we thought we should have a look what's going on here... Nice lamb you have. We also could do with some of your decoration eggs, you've got so much...

Oder wir könnten etwas hiervon gebrauchen. Wir könnten eine Burg daraus bauen!
Äääh, das ist unser Feuerholz. Und es sind Käfer drin.

Or maybe we could do with some of this logs. We could build a castle with it!
Ahm, this is our firewood. And there are bugs in it.

Bugs? And when you make fire you roast those bugs? Awful!
Uh, you know nothing! Roasted insects are delicious! In Afrrika we like to rrroast insects for a feast!
Boy he is kidding!

Wer sitzt denn da? / Who's that sitting there?

This easter time we have visitors. Granny came with her children Ruth (the little redhaired Käthe Kruse on Griselda) and Beverly (the nice blonde Sasha on Fabiola). They want to make riding holidays.

Wenn Oma Mamas Mama ist, dann sind Ruth und Beverly Mamis Stiefschwestern und somit unsere Stieftanten? Dafür sind sie ganz schön jung!

When Granny is mums mum, then Ruth and Beverly are mums stepsisters. Then they are our stepaunties? But they are as young as we!

Schnell, hinterher!

We simply can't tell them auntie. Oh - Tessa has seen something and starts running. Quick, we have to follow!

Tessa, nein! Das muß der Osterhase sein. Den jagst du nicht!

Tessa, no! This must be the Easter Bunny. Don't chase it!

Puuuh! Sie steht. Guter Hund!

Poooh! She has stopped. Good dog!
We will call our visitors "kins", that sounds cool enough!

Ein wilder Ritt / Wild Thing on the Snow
